Boat docks available for season 2012!
Riverview's Marina is roughly perpendicular to the Vermilion River, which runs into lake Erie. Brand new floating steel docks purchased within the last two years and are currently available for rent at weekend, week, month, or seasonal rates. The marina is dredged annually prior to each boating season. We currently offer boat dockage up to 32 feet. Future growth will allow space for 148 boats. Shore power and Vermilion city water are available at the marina. Lake Erie is a 15-minute boat ride away in a no wake zone. 59 Lagoon campsites are directly in front of the boat docks. The marina is accessed on North Lagoon Lane (campsites A), South Lagoon Lane (campsites B), and on Fisher's Way. The boat and watercraft ramp is located at the head of the marina on Berta's Broadway. Our marina is solar lite.

Biggest fish caught in Ohio since 2006!
|
Jason Brooks, who has been camping and boating at Riverview RV Park & Marina in Vermilion, Ohio since before 2002, will likely capture a coveted spot in the Ohio state record fish book. On Friday June 25th around 11:00 a.m. Jason Brooks and Joe Boewe, in their 22-foot Grady White boat, fishing 15 miles from Lorain's Avon Point reeled in a massive steel-head trout.
The fish weighed 21 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 38 inches long. The current recognized Ohio state record for a steel-head trout was caught by Mike Shane way back in October of 1996. That fish weighed in at 20.97 pounds and measured 36 1/2 inches.
"The fish jumped three times and power-dived in much the same fashion as a walleye", Jason reported. When the fish was hung on a 20-pound fisherman's scale the tool broke as the hook bottomed out.
